lame
This podcast is so weak. Danny Kelly may write very sharply for The Times but sadly his jibbering, stammering broadcasting skills make this a real turn-off. Was Danny Baker too expensive? Matt Dickenson and Bill Edgar make this just about audible though. However, the really lame part of the show is the week by sound effects. Apparently this is supposed to be funny but not once have I laughed. Every week they play the same sound effects - car crash / tumbleweed / cuckoo clock... surely somebody over there can do better than that. Try The Guardian for a real podcast, or get Skinner and Baddiel back.

This used to be a great podcast but I am sick and tired of Marcotti's know it all commentary. He never listens to another point of view and sneers at anyone who is brave enough to contradict him. If he knows that much about football why isn't he a succesful manager?Read full review »
