“I came into the The Garcia Diaries Pod a little late but have since caught up and listened to all of the episodes. Things I love: I love that when listening to the whole collection of episodes there is beautiful growth of two humans sharing their lives together. I love that they dont stray away from heavier topics. I love that while listening to them I may blush but, it makes me analyze “why am I uncomfortable with this topic?” I love that they are real about parenthood. Whether I would do the exact same thing as them or not, doesn’t matter. Fun fact my way isn’t the gold standard and neither is theirs and they never portray themselves to be that. I love that I hear them work through boundary setting, communication in marriage and moving away from generational norms for their sake and the sake of their kids. The Garcia Diaries makes me laugh, cry, and reflect. If you are listening to them and something irks you, it’s a great time to take a mirror and look back at yourself to see why it bugs you. I guarantee it has much more to say about you and your preconceived notions of what education, success, or parenting “should be”. Cheers to two humans working through this crazy thing we call life.”
