Grasping at straws, conspiratorial rubbish
The journalist and Peter Lavac are exploiting this family’s grief and contorting the sad facts in an attempt to construct a career making story. There is no ‘evidence’ Eden was murdered. All information provided by the family and uncovered by this podcast points to suicide. While some of the police response was ham-fisted and awkward it was not corrupt and it did not result in an incorrect conclusion as to the cause of death. The journalist and Peter Lavac use sensational language and make sweeping statements to try justify their intrusive and gratuitous ‘investigation’. The way they trawl through Eden’s private messages, sharing the very personal content of a teenage girl with the audience - with absolutely no justification - is sickening. I had to stop listening, the damage being done by these clowns is no doubt having real world effects. Peter Lavac’s attempts to politicise this story are all for his own ends. There’s no outcome or greater good being done here - attempts to tie this story to a bigger story of institutional corruption and ongoing enquiries into child sexual abuse are misleading and only take away from the important work being done in these spaces. Don’t listen, don’t give the journalist and Lavac the airtime.

Stuck it out out of respect for the family, but it's repetitive, the lawyer is an absolute tool. They are pushing an agenda that isn't even there.... could have been done in a much better way.Read full review »
