“Update 18 July This has gone from bad to worse. Endless repetition, filler and click bait. Overly dramatic and quite frankly patronising toward the audience. What makes you think audiences will tolerate rehashing and enticing with info that is later withheld? Every second thing is withheld or bleeped out. And now you’ve got precious minutes spent on the tasering case in an episode that isn’t even half an hour? Am giving up. I hope the family gets some justice and the podcaster gets some respect for the craft. ——— I agree with the reviewer who said it would benefit from an introduction to the host and how he came about this case. That would provide some context and form from the start, and the lack of form contjnues throughout. The story meanders and is confusing at times, focusing more on hitting emotional beats than clarity. We don’t need to hear the sister say ten times that she “can’t be vulnerable” or the dad endlessly muttering in the background as he moves toward and away from the microphone. So much of the parents’ interviews are difficult to follow because of this and the volume being so inconsistent. It’s a really important story that needs to be told and the podcaster’s inexperience here really shows.”
