It’s reminded me to dig out all my old Georgette Heyers to read them again.

None of my friends have read any Georgette Heyer books, so I’ve never been able to talk about them and how much I love them. This podcast fills that gap exactly.

If you are a fan of Georgette Heyer’s hilarious historical romances then this podcast is for you. It makes you wish you could join the conversation.

My sister and I have been reading and rereading Georgette Heyer books for years. (Our favorite author, tied with Jane Austen.) Love that somebody else in this world appreciates her like we do. I have a request. Would you do Cotillion next? It’s one of my favorites after The Grand Sophie and Bath...Read full review »

Found this podcast while looking for something to listen to while walking the hounds. It’s just a lively chatty discussion of the works of one of very favourite authors. I’ve rediscovered Infamous Army as a result ( and tried out the audible version which definitely works re the battle scenes)...Read full review »

Rach and Su work gradually through Heyer’s regency (and a handful of Georgian) romances, discussing their likes and dislikes in a delightfully informal and entertaining conversation that we are invited to join. Whilst some of the earliest episodes have a rough and ready charm, the point is not...Read full review »

I recently found this podcast and am completely hooked. I last read the books about 30 years ago and hearing Rach and Su discuss and analyse them with such joy and humour brings back many happy memories. The content is fab from the beginning, they don’t love all the books unequivocally and call...Read full review »

If you’re looking for wit, I’m sorry but you won’t find any here.

I would love to hear what they’re saying. Most of the time I feel as though I’m eavesdropping on two people afraid of being overheard. When they read from the books they drop into an actual strangled whisper. This is not a loud American vs mannerly Brit issue, because I listen to many UK podcasts...Read full review »

As a Heyer fanatic since age 14, I very much enjoy listening to Rach and Su discuss each book. They also read aloud excerpts in appropriate accents. I’ve never had a friend who loves the books as much as I do, so this podcast is a real treat.

Just read my first Georgette Heyer book (The Grand Sophy) and absolutely LOVED it. Then, found this podcast! It was SO great to relive all of the highlights of the book. I’m hooked! On Heyer and the podcast. Going to start with all of the books they discuss. So excited.

Great for every Georgette Heyer fan, just like being with friends talking over favourite books. They’ve quite changed my mind about Sylvester, which before I wasn’t that keen on, and I appreciate it rather more, now. What I’d like is a podcast or two comparing the heroes with each other and then...Read full review »

I discovered this podcast through the Audible app, and I can’t express how much I’m enjoying it. I discovered Georgette Heyer back in high school, when I worked in the local library (more years ago than I care to admit to), and I’ve reread her books more times than I can count. Thanks for...Read full review »

I adore this podcast - if, like me, Georgette Heyer books are your comfort reading and feel like old friends then you will love this. I only wish episodes were more frequent! Thank you so much.

Straightforward and unpretentious chats about Heyer’s wonderful works. A delicious indulgence for fans.

I just discovered this podcast and listened to several episodes while working in the garden. Felt like I was with friends discussing books we all enjoyed. Love the excerpts that they read aloud, the references to their lives, the thoughts they shared, and especially their speculation on what...Read full review »

Listening to this podcast is like sitting down with close friends and a cup of tea or coffee and talking about favorite books. I enjoy each episode, even for the books that are not at the top of my list, and find myself smiling and nodding along in agreement. They are funny and yet do a great job...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to this podcast since it came out and both hosts seems to know the books incredibly well. I like the relaxed vibe of the banter and I enjoy listening to their analysis of the characters and plot, especially when it comes to feminist issues! Will continue to listen.

Not a bit fond of podcasts in general, but I utterly adore this one! Rach and Su are both terribly funny and insightful. It’s a cozy, soothing listen every time, and each episode feels like having a nice chat about a Heyer novel with pals! (:

The biggest bummer about being a Georgette Heyer fan is there will never be more Georgette Heyer books. However these ladies gave my reading of her existing books a new life. I’m going back though the books following along and it’s just great to listen to these ladies have a chat about it. Very...Read full review »

So glad that Rach and Su got better microphones! I was about to give up on them. Great fun and I love the commentary. I would wish for a little radio training in speaking a litttle more clearly and slowly. Any fan of Heyer’s will feel like they are among friends heee- well educated, intelligent...Read full review »

Listen to Rach and Sue discuss the Heyer bibliography one novel at a time. Everything is covered, from romantic liaisons, fashions, problematic kisses and games of “Who deserves to be shot?” These ladies have opinions and are willing to dish the tea - a very funny, interesting podcast.

I’ve been a fan of Georgette Heyer’s writing for so many years. It’s a treat to listen to Rach and Su discussing her books

I really do enjoy your discussions, but for this American, you speak very quickly. And when you read from the book, you drop your voice and so rush over the passages, that I am lucky to catch a few words. Three stars rather than four or five because of the haste.

The podcast is great, but why are you whispering? The least background noise makes it impossible to follow. Please have mercy.

I hate to give this podcast such an average rating, but the sound quality is so poor that I struggle to hear what they are saying. The sound is muddy and the volume is low. Very frustrating. So enjoyable to hear your discussions although I wish I could share them - I can’t seem to infect anyone else around me with my love of Georgette Heyer so I don’t get to have these discussions. Please keep going!

This is the sort of thing I was looking for when I first starting working on my own Heyer podcast. So lovely to have interesting, funny discussions on our fave Heyer novels.

It is like having a cup of tea with two girlfriends who love the same books that you do and chatting about them. Spoiler alert, they do dissect each book piece by piece. A true fan podcast. Please keep it up!

Enjoying the podcast. Would appreciate better sound quality. Especially hard to hear when reading excerpts from the book.

I love this podcast! So relaxed and casual, literally just chatting about Heyer’s books. Synopsis’, character dissections, historical context - all in less than an hour. (My favourite so far is The Black Sheep episode) Looking forward to future episodes!
