15-min city concept
As a factual and science orientated podcast, I found the analysis of the concept a little wierd and light weight. And surprisingly there was no mention of, or discussion about, the Climate Crisis as a possible rational driver behind the concept. Of course, localisation to reduce one‘s carbon footprint is vital to mitigate the impact of the Climate Crisis and, therefore, being able to „live“ and function as local as possible to one‘s home ticks many of the boxes here.

I enjoy listening to this on my commute to work. It has in-depth coverage of science news. Just a plea to the editor not to use background music too much when people are speaking. I used to love this, but recently it's seen a shift towards dumbing down. The 'big unknowns' episodes are dull and skippable sadly. The great interviews and features like the weekly science news seem to have gone too. There are still a few decent episodes every once in a while though.Read full review »

The first of these I started to listen to -- so far, the only -- was the podcast of 8th Jan 2006. The intro invites listeners to visit an url for the chance to win a wifi laptop.
