Insight & wit from two excellent comics
In “The Guilty Feminist”, Sofie Hagen and Deborah Frances-White discuss modern-day feminism based on their lived experience rather than the theory. Having been fortunate enough to see both Sofie and Deborah perform individually, deciding to listen to a podcast hosted by the two of them took approximately .002 seconds. In their first few episodes they’ve talked about Food, Apologising and Nudity, and each episode has bestowed unexpected similarities and surprise commonalities with both presenters. This podcast has made me tear up, gasp in surprise, and laugh out loud… It’s an excellent peek into the active feminist, not content to rest on laurels or rhetoric, actively examining and challenging the actions and thoughts we participate in on a daily basis - and all with a wink to the ridiculousness and silliness of modern life.
