“Gilliam and Bianca have broadly gone where I assumed others had gone before but thankfully had not because - wait a minute! Seems I switched cultural obsessions for a second; and that's pretty stupid because nobody in Hamilton had pointy ears or a friend named Yoda (and, yes I did mix up my galaxies and jumble my Stars - Trek and Wars. Apologies!).
I'll try again. These wise, witty, fearless women started their Podcast at JUST the right time. If there ARE other Podcasts devoted to the show/the book/the movie/the lifestyle/the new way in which we speak, they are welcome but not necessary as these ladies are my jam.
They're warm, engaging and well connected but they address listeners from the point of view of just two more of us - people whose lives were changed when we listened to or saw Hamilton for the first time. They're obsessed and not ashamed of it. They're dorky, just like most of us, and because they are, aren't afraid to regularly remind us they're "in the room where it happened" and have had two Sam Adams (but they're working on three) as they educate us, entertain us and give us all what we're longing for: new information about the subject none of us can get enough of: Lin Manuel Miranda's "Hamilton".
