“Overall a good podcast that focuses on political and military history. Sometimes it glosses over some other interesting aspects of Chinese history, ie culture, language, etc.
Episode #194 is contains opinions presented as facts (why are we talking about feminist issues? Is this not history? We have enough politically correct versions of history to contend with).
Unfortunately history is often looked through a politically correct “modern”microscope, or it is the opinion of later historians that are presented as fact. And this podcast keeps that tradition going. Although, to be fair, it’s nearly impossible to do otherwise especially with focusing on Chinese political and military history.
But overall a good podcast that I usually enjoy listening to, with the exception of episode 194. :)”
