This podcast is an example of finding exactly what you wanted before you knew what you wanted. A friend recommended it to me, and I've been listening to it voraciously. It's a fascinating subject, and Stroud makes it easy to listen to, easy to learn, and easy to be tantalized and want to listen to just one…more…episode… I've always wondered about Indo-European, and how they could "know" what it sounded like or that it even existed. Not only is the sybject fascinating, but the amount and quality of information is astounding. You can tell Kevin takes this podcast seriously just by the amount of research he has done. The history of English should be a required course in high school. Knowing how languages change over time and are interrelated can really serve to break down all the artificial barriers that cultures erect against one another.
