Informative and witty
A wonderfully accessible podcast for those wishing to learn about the facinating history of Rome. Mr. Duncan relates the material articulately and at a comfortable pace. He also happens to be fairly witty at times, no small feat given the material. I find the parallels between Rome and America (founding myths, etc.) particularly informative. Can't wait to get to the later Republic and Empire. Keep going!Read full review »

....and neither was this podcast. I have listened to about 30 episodes now. Unlike pop histories, this one does not skip around, is chronological and makes some of the less colorful parts of Roman history interesting.Read full review »
