Sorry for length really enjoying so had lots to say
In Anything I became aware of the brilliant in Anything Podcasts the week of the Spotlight 10km. In my naïveté and rushing and skim reading way I assumed all the folk were running. Maybe they were and they were all just much quicker than me and that's why I didn't see them. I am not particularly tech driven so often podcasts and downloads "and things" pass me by. I also hadn't run a race before so chose not to listen whilst running I wanted to hear my asthma as well as feel it. I do a lot of train journeys so it was perfect to listen to the spotlight run teaser a few days after the run. I enjoyed it very much. I enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and rapport between Jonathan and the individual actors. I also enjoy the familiarity around the subject I think the fact Jonathan is an actor as well brings further depth to the chats as well. I enjoy that this bond between interviewer and interviewee encourages a real honesty. Which takes me back to what first attracted me to In Anything at the moment. I find the level of spin expected of us all, especially on social media wearing and dispiriting. I think it's really brave to be able to look in the mirror and be able to say friends and family "I am not in Anything at the moment. Actually I haven't been seen for a while. To be honest I am feeling pretty crummy" That is the main reason I am loving the In Anything podcasts. I am loving everyone being able to say "I've had some dark days" From actors doing really well that I really admire. Some have been reality checks as well. Jessica Raine's teaser made me a bit shallow of breath. I think she's fabulous the real deal, the whole package beautiful and talented and quite present at the moment. To hear her talk of the concerns of less work for women, harder for women and save your money as by the time your 40 the work tries up made me thinking I needed to hot foot it to the nearest employment agency. It was like hearing my own fears and concerns and neuroses come back to me. D I am older than Jessica less of a package and never been so present. However, they are things I will have to sort out between my mirror and me. Only I can know whether to carry on with the journey. While I ponder on things like that I am loving hearing everyone confess to have days months times like that. So far my favourite has been Denise Gough. I found her honesty and her fears and concerns a complete breath of fresh air and it was like listening to a wise philosopher. I found it very salient as she spoke of the need to compartmentalise and still have a life and still find things to enjoy. As I continue to wrangle with my own journey I am enjoying hearing wonderful talented people confide in us the listener that it's ok to worry sometimes. I am very grateful for the sheer volume of work Jonathan has clearly done this year. I feel it's quite a unifying tool for the community and a privilege to hear so much personal experience. Thank you for giving such a delightful thing to help the journeys go by as I ponder my journey. I can't recommend them enough. Seriously. Get downloading.Read full review »

Just good honest chit chat without the bluff and pretence. Great departure from the banal questioning Mark Lawson offers on Radio 4.

This is fantastic. It unites actors. It's such a great thing to know that all actors go through the same joys and have the same worrys. Thank you for this.Read full review »

These are excellent. Brilliant idea and when I'm staring at my four walls questionning the wisdom of my life decisions, they always help me to realise there are others in the same boat. Thank you and keep up the great work!Read full review »
