This is why white folks should not try to “lead” conversations on anti-racism and allyship. Missing the mark is one thing, but so much harm has been caused in the process. People who have a public platform and following need to be responsible for the content they publish, and some of the episodes...Read full review »

How you call yourself The honest Podcast is just mind blowing. And that you continue, despite the outcry?! Sickening

I love Christina’s Podcast. She tackles issues that all of us face as women, mothers, businesswomen and South Africans. Although her recent Podcast was somewhat controversial and there has been a lot of hate around it, I applaud her for being brave enough to put these issues out there and...Read full review »

The episode called “Ending Girl Hate” was changed to “They called me a racist”. It’s a one-sided, biased take that purposely silenced the voices of WOC. The author went on to defend the podcast in public and continued to police the voices of WOC and allies, in order to control the narrative. It’s...Read full review »

I still can’t believe i listened to the last episode. What a waste of time, energy and educational resources.

This is a prime example of white fragility and tone policing and should come with a warning for POC. This podcast is extremely biased and one sided. It has caused a lot of upset on Instagram which has now all been deleted and no one has received an apology. WOC have been silenced and blocked....Read full review »

The host of this podcast may have had good intentions for this space, but the impact has not turned out well. Instead of apologizing to a group of women, and owning the fact that none of us are perfect and should remain teachable if we really believe in making a change, she has silenced BIPOC and...Read full review »

The episode ‘ ending girl hate’ is a one sided conversation that is a perfect display of white fragility and tone policing. Its 73 minutes of my life I will never get back and definitely not worth a listen. It is also triggering for POC, or anyone anti-racism.

Apparently, this should be honesty according to xyZ, because it is not the truth but a version of it. Christina, did you do any research into this matter that did not involve just talking to your guests? Did you actually look for the suggested screenshots of her being called a racist? Because I...Read full review »

The last episode of this podcast was uncomfortable to listen to. It made me so angry. Tone deaf episode.
EbelthiteMom12 via Apple Podcasts · South Africa · 08/10/20
Clearly not equipped with objective journalistic skills to tackle the conversations around race. Much dishonesty peddled in the narrative, bias and disregard for facts. Zero engagement with pushback over the harmful and hurtful content.

This podcast was distasteful, disappointed, and sad to listen to. Despite only sharing one side of the story, and despite only furthering and amplifying one very toxic narrative. You have also chosen to support tone policing and white fragility. You have piggy-backed off of other people’s very...Read full review »

A single sided story filled with inaccuracies, wrongful terminology and shamelessly glorifying POC pain. The other side of this story cannot speak out due to a gagg order. The episode “ending girl hate” is a prime example of white fragility + tone policing, it is tone deaf in this critical time where we need voices speaking up against social injustice the most. This podcast episode silences BIPOC voices whilst practicing white centering. It has caused a lot of harm...Read full review »

The narrative of this talk seems to have achieved the complete opposite of what I believe you May have set out to explore. It seems to have several gapping holes in the fact checking department. It comes across extremely 1 sided and you seem in complete support of that side. I don’t think you...Read full review »

The “end girl hate” podcast is an insult to people that are truly doing anti racist work. I agree with what others have said, it should come with a warning that it is triggering to POC. Also - the host has acted dishonorably by knowing facts but only allowing one narrative. And now silencing any...Read full review »

Here is the thing you can’t claim to understand when speaking from privilege. The language to describe black in this podcast to describe colour left me feeling ill. This woman does not have the skills or the objectivity to host a podcast. And it should come with a trigger warning for POC as she clumsily gives a platform to white fragility and calls it “ending girl hate”. Don’t waste your time with this.

All too often as women we try to hurt each other and bring each other down, instead of supporting and uplifting each other. White fragility and complete ignorance to racial issues - sharing of misinformation that is highly offensive and should not be listened to if you are a person of colour. The host also refuses to acknowledge or rectify her actions, which speaks to her white privilege.
