Thank much to the casters here for creating an intelligent blend of opinion, education, ancillary history, humor .. covering the Hammer films chronologically; all done with respect and heart. They also have outstanding content outside of the show. I looked forward to every episode. Cheers guys 🇬🇧

As a devotee of physical media, I love the idea of a podcast series that can functionally replicate the experience of diving into the extra features of a special edition of a movie, learning about all the production ins-and-outs, the background, the creatives involved, tangential trivia as well...Read full review »

This is a fantastic podcast. The hosts are friends with great depths of knowledge about horror films in general and Hammer films in particular. An all time favorite.

It’s a strange one, this. I really wanted to love it as I’m a huge Hammer horror fan but the whole tone comes across as disrespectful. It’s like listening to a Jaws podcast where the presenters just giggle at how fake the shark looks. We all know Hammer sometimes had clunky sets due to...Read full review »

An enticing idea, to review and expand on every film in the Hammer catalogue, quickly descends into a bunch of blokes trying to outdo each other for laughs. Puerile and tiresome jokes at the expense of the effects, the acting, the scripts - whatever doesn’t stand up to their modern eye gets the...Read full review »

I came to this podcast because I love Rated H, All the Best Lines, & Attaboy Clarence/Secret History of Hollywood, & had never even seen a Hammer film before. I've truly loved the fact they started at the beginning because it's such an interesting lens to view the non-A, cheapy...Read full review »

starting with Curse of Frankenstein and on. The old cheap noirs were okay and I have most of them on DVD, but the deep dive not so much. Giving it five stars still as it’s not a fault, per se, but my preference and I would think the vast majority, also. The Hammer House of Podcast is the only...Read full review »

The show has gone a little downhill in the last few months… When it began, there was a lot more history of the Hammer studio and profiles of directors, actors and technicians… these days it’s little more than a review podcast. It doesn’t help that the hosts don’t seem to think the films are...Read full review »

I’ve been a Hammer Horror fan since my teenage years, so to find a podcast that trawls past the popular horror tales to uncover the true history of Britain’s greatest (sorry Ealing) film studio has been both a delight and incredibly educational. With a group of hosts who know their subject, film...Read full review »

Informative and fun podcast hosted by a delightful group of chaps who are clearly enjoying themselves, delving deeply into Hammer’s treasures. I cannot recommend this enough.

The friendship and joy just comes through in every episode. I adore this show. Fascinating & funny. However no hammers.

I love this podcast and feel a bit sad when one comes to an end as I have to wait…that said I know there are enough Hammer House films to keep this going for quite some time 💃🏼💃🏼 It’s really informative, it’s funny and it’s a great way to learn more about the film industry. I came for the Horror...Read full review »

Who would have thought that listening to four men discussing a film you’ve never seen would be so entertaining? The unfolding history of Hammer against the backdrop of what is happening in the industry as a whole, and to a lesser extent society, is interesting; especially when your existing...Read full review »

This is a thoroughly enjoyable podcast. The four guys behind this have taken the wise step of approaching the Hammer story in a comprehensive, chronological fashion. It would have been easy to start at, say, 'The Curse of Frankenstein' and march onwards from there, but instead we get such...Read full review »

If you’re interested in Hammer beyond the horror films (although they’ll be covered in good time) or just in British cinema in general then you need to listen to this. Always informative, always hilarious, in the company of some of the nicest blokes in podcasting.
