I’ve been a part of a few episodes now and can share that Mark and Curtis are the quality people that they appear to be on their show. Fair, honest, and genuine. They are folks that I want to hang out with, on their show, or out in the woods and water.

I’m a new hunter, 2 years to be exact. Though these boys have done nothing to help me be successful, the knowledge I have gained about conservation and our wildlife has be mind blowing. It is by far my favourite podcast and educational tool to what’s actually happening in BC and around North...Read full review »

Of all the podcasts put out from BC, this is the best content there is. Mark and Curtis are have intelligent guests that truly enlighten and educate the listener on what conservation and hunting is all about. Not just in BC, but across Canada. The ‘Round Canada’ episodes are a fantastic snapshot...Read full review »

A great open minded, conservation oriented, hunting and fishing podcast from an educated and articulate soft spoken man! Great stuff

I originally started listening to this podcast to get informed in BC conservation and how to make a difference. I had a negative narrative towards guns and hunting. This podcast complete changed my view and I’ve taken my gun course and now onto my hunting course! Also love that they host females...Read full review »

These guys and their conversations have single handedly made me hate my job less! On a serious note I think it’s guys like this and these conversations that will help portray hunters in the correct light.

Really really enjoy listening to these podcasts! It’s wonderful to hear some friendly voices of some people you know! And also very nice to have a podcast with content in it including the places which a lot of us live! Super cool to hear things about the elk valley and the east Kootenays! Sure...Read full review »

I came to the Hunter Conservationist after listening to several other excellent BC-based podcasts (including Rookie Hunter, EatWild, and the Cutbanks Conversations), and I have to say this has been my favourite of the bunch. Mark and Curtis do such a great job of providing a balanced take on...Read full review »

love the podcast but you danced around the issue of talhtan blockades and not letting resident hunters into 11% of their province. fax

As a Canadian and more specifically a resident of British Columbia this is the informative wildlife management/hunting podcast I’ve been looking for! Others are great but cater mostly to the U.S. management side of things. It’s nice to hear direct information about my home province and country....Read full review »

As a Canadian Hunter and conservationist this podcast has informed ,entertained and challenged me! The information and discussions are relevant to Canada and North America in general. As US “Hunter celebrities” that started off with a good message but now chase profit through ridiculous self...Read full review »

Overall it’s a very informative and thought provoking podcast. It has caused me to look at what I want to get out of hunting and some of the beliefs I have held on wildlife/habitat management.

In my opinion, as a BC hunter, this podcast is better than Meateater cause it’s real, serious and addresses the issues that concern Canadian hunters. No episodes on how to cook “swallow saliva consume” here.

I love how informative this is! I’m a local from the same area so it’s awesome to know some of the people you’re interviewing and know the locations of the areas you’re talking about! Keep it up! I look forward to more episodes!

I’ve never hunted in my life but conservation is so important yet difficult to know what the real issues are in Canada. The episode on wild pigs is nothing short of amazing, interesting and super informative (if not alarming). I always listen to various podcasts such as Quirks and Quarks and many...Read full review »
