Fascinating stuff. Even though I'm a Brit living in the UK I find the details of the policies and their impact really interesting. Obviously I wouldn't expect a US-based podcast to talk about UK policy, but it'd be great if someone set up a similar podcast looking at radical ideas and...Read full review »

My family has started picking up the phone again because I have positive policies to tell them about. Please make as many as you possibly can (while still having a good work life balance)!

Really takes you into a different world with in-depth episodes about a particular place or policy topic. I binge-listened and wait for the next season!

I love this podcast, I work in health policy and love hearing about how policies are being utilized in other spaces. I especially enjoyed the last episode of season two on parental leave, very interesting. Thank you and keep up the great work!

Where is Season 3??? I’m a complete junkie for this podcast!! In need of the next season!!

I only listened to the first two episodes (I won’t be listening to any more), but this podcast is less about public policy and more about pulling your heartstrings. I’m very disappointed by the false advertising. But people who enjoy listening to tragedy and what’s wrong with health care will...Read full review »

Really love how thoughtful this podcast is and the diversity of topics it covers. As someone who works in government and putting in place policies, it is fascinating hearing about the impact of regulation and its effects on people and market behavior.

Maybe my favorite podcast. A subject I didn’t know I am completely fascinated with. Calls me to think about what’s really possible in my own locale.

People look at me like I am crazy when I talk about how good a podcast about policy is, but it is really interesting. I liked season 1 much more than season 2 though. I loved almost every season 1 episode.

I don’t care if you don’t care about policy, listen to this to have some hope.

Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable about healthcare, but she also knows how to report a good story. The second season's dive into local policy experiments showed me that government can be far more effective (and interesting) than national government would lead you to believe. I’ve loved vox podcasts and started with the weeds and was always struck by Sara’s insights. This podcast centers the conversation on positive change in policy instead of reacting to the crap show of the trump show. So inspiring!!! Thanks Sara and vox

I feel like I’m always explaining how property taxes directly correlate with education funding to my friends, and I love how the most recent episode both introduced this as background and discussed ways people are trying to overcome the discrepancies. I have one question that never got answered in the education policy episode: how exactly did they secure the funding? Did Vermont continue to use property values/taxes to secure money for all schools in the state? In Washington, we went through a similar law suit. Property taxes went up sharply...Read full review »

Her first instinct on first episode was prices are too high so we need regulation. Never occurred to her that existing regulations are the reason prices are so high. This would be a lot better if done by someone who didn’t believe that government (which has such a sad track record) was always the...Read full review »

I heard about the show on “The Weeds”, a show I started listening to because it was plugged on “Pod Save America”. I listened half of season 1 on a single Sunday while walking my dog. Great in-depth research and science based coverage of many aspects of our health care system. Particularly interesting were the deep dives on why fax machines are still In use in health care and the reasons for the high maternal death rate in the US. Very much looking forward to season 2.

This was a brilliant idea; most journalism/discussion about the issues gets lost in details or (mainly) politics.
