The Imposter.....it’s anything but!
The Imposter is a great podcast. The latest interview with Alanis Obomsawin alone was worth the $120.00/yr I decided to send to support CANADALAND. I visited Pier 21 in Halifax recently and learned about riots in Saint John NB between 1840-1860. Irish ( mostly Catholic) immigrants fleeing hunger and oppression were not welcomed and had to fight similarly oppressive policies imposed by local British Loyalist administrations. The riots were eventually put down by British troops. This part of the history of my ancestors were never taught in the schools in Saint John where I grew up. How many other important facts and stories were omitted, deleted or twisted by those in charge of the social curriculum? Aboriginal history has suffered a similar but much more severe and persistent treatment. Ms. Obomsawin work telling Aboriginal history and the stories is a body of work that should been seen by all.

I love this show. Not your typical Arts show, and so much more intelligent because of it. Great and diverse artists covered. A clean approach to interviewing that really lets the artists shine forth and keeps the interviewer in the background.

I loved season one, Aliya is refreashing and intelligent. This podcast opened up so much about canadian art I was unaware of with cool music to go along with it. Season two is more of a journey that I am happy to hear about every week. THANK GOD ITS BACK <3
