This is usually a fun listen
Update: While I don’t like some aspects of the show, I do think that JD is relatable - and I’m bumping my rating to five stars because I agree with every single word of his take on Ovie’s chase of Gretzky. Show is at its best when JD has a co-host like Ben or Blake to provide contrast. Love the bit about snooze on alarm clocks. // Original review: I listen to this show in part because JD often has great takes - but we don’t need to be reminded of it every minute. A little bombast is fine, but when it goes on and on, and the tone is not quite so playful, then it’s grating. “Whose fault is that?” asks a guest. “Not mine,” says JD. Really unappealing. Also, the other guys sound like sycophants; if they’re going to talk, it would be nice if they were given some leash to explain their ideas and express som disagreement with the host. I do love JD’s passion for the subway, civic pride, and war on extravagant tipping!

Just happy I don’t need to hear him on the morning show. Annoying man-child.
