Deep and authentic discussions about fascinating topics
My working hypothesis is that Jim Rutt is an undercover agent from an advanced alien civilisation who has been sent here to Earth to help guide us humans to a higher level of understanding and maturity. The format of the show is simple; the best and brightest of humanity come on the show to discuss their latest thinking about an interesting and important topic. Jim always gives the guest an open floor to properly explain their ideas, and keeps them honest by asking them to pause and define or better explain when needed. Through this processes of discussing, explaining, and defining their work with Jim, the guest comes to gain a better understanding of how their work fits into the wider project of advancing human society. As a member of the audience listening in, I have to be honest and admit I don’t always absorb everything discussed on the show - I have young kids and a full and busy life going on around me each and every day - but it feels like Jim’s show helps keep crucial brain circuitry fresh and alive. So thanks Jim! Please don’t stop.
