The podcast was well put together and an easy listen, just thought it would go in a different direction.

It made me nauseous in the first 8 minutes.

I came to write about how gross this show is but yeah everyone else already has. Lol I wish I would have read the reviews before listening and saved myself the time.

A podcast adding to the total idolatry of the rich elite in this country. Just gross. I was waiting for the critique but it did not come. Wish I hadn't wasted my time listening to a totally out of touch rich white woman with zero self awareness. Just ewwwwww!Read full review »

Unlike all the others who have been left feeling unsatisfied with the podcast due to subscription issues, i am actually subscribed. You’re listening intently to this otherwise brilliant podcast and they suddenly stop talking. What on earth is going on here? Has the story concluded? Is there...Read full review »

I just don’t relate to Liz and her worldview at all. I’m an empathic person, but I couldn’t get past the first 10 minutes. 🥴

I appreciate success in every form but can’t take the obscene pretension. Had to stop listening after the first episode. The tone is contradictory to the words.

I wanted to love this. I would have been happy with even just liking it. But the level of self-aggrandizement throughout is...well, nauseating. I love a good social commentary, and I'm not judging anyone for their wealth or what they do with it. I'm judging them for being so dang unaware...Read full review »

Enjoyed it so much that I shared it a second listen with my wife rather than watching TV. Interested in similar recommendations

E1 - we get it , they were rich , don’t need to drone on about how special they were for 15 minutes. It’s obnoxious and annoying.

Loved the first episode but I’m not paying for wii script on and it came out so long ago I don’t even remember what it’s about.

You can’t listen to this unless you pay, so it has to be a 1 star unfortunately

Dear god, will someone please take mics away from out of touch white people. I’m sorry to suggest such a drastic measure, but if you go back and check the numbers, truly nothing good has ever come from it. I could have gone the rest of my life not knowing anything about any of the people involved...Read full review »

The first episode of this series was intriguing. I was interested in this family’s story. I stopped listening after episode four. Everything after the first episode was the family going on and on about how rich they were. I was expecting to hear about their extravagant lifestyle but I also...Read full review »

I listened to this whole stupid podcast, hoping that it would eventually graduate from “ohmyGodwewereSORICH” to examining how the family mismanaged their wealth, but that never really happened. Kudos to the series for hooking me into the first episode, but after that? Hours upon hours of an...Read full review »

Thanks to everyone featured for being so open and honest! Such an amazing story and I loved the honesty with which it was told. Please please please make one more about reactions on hearing the podcast from the family! I’m dying to know what Bobby thought after listening.

It was exhausting to listen to Liz talk about how they were so rich over and over and over again. Meanwhile, it was all her Uncle’s hard work that gave them their wealth. How embarrassing to brag about wealth given to your family and then to spend at such a high rate that you lose it all. She’s...Read full review »

I absolutely love Ariel Levy but this story had enormous holes in it. It begins with Liz living in the Hamptons - so where is the "fall" promised in the show's description. Did they all just go from uber wealthy to just wealthy? So many questions - Bobby's death and violence (Liz...Read full review »

True insight into the ups and downs of how the 1 percent live is rare and appreciated. The underdog aspect in the description of family’s modest beginnings and the struggles they faced as Jewish people in a very waspish arena added relatability. At the height of their success, they lived a life...Read full review »

Ok. They are rich. Took me three episodes to get bored. Get to the story if there is one. First ,The Binge Production, I’ve panned.

Pretty cynical to place a paywall after one episode. Just be upfront and announce it at the start. A shake to produce what I’m told is an excellent piece of journalism and then require someone signs up to entire subscription service to access it, no doubt significantly limits your audience.

I’m three episodes in and it’s just Liz Lange obnoxiously talking about how rich she was…. I haven’t heard anything about the family saga. too bad because it could have been an interesting story.

I absolutely loved the story of the family, told from different family members points of view. However, I couldn’t always distinguish voices as they are almost never introduced before they speak- it’s especially hard to tell which of the sisters is speaking at any given time. The soft baby voice send shivers down my spine. Once I hear the closing music I know to switch to the next ep to spare myself. Besides that, engaging story with high production value.

Told with forthrightness, humor and humility this story was riveting, entertaining but also reflective. A richly woven front row recounting of the rise and fall of an American family in the greed is good era.
