I was officially diagnosed with ADHD just last year at the age of 30. ADHD isnโ€™t something that just magically appears one day, but it often goes undiagnosed for girls because their symptoms can differ from boys. That's why you hear about women like me, who always suspected something was off but it was never cause for concern, who end up going into their adult life and eventually realize they've had undiagnosed ADHD all these years. Being officially diagnosed, and having a real reason to explain why I am the way I am and to better understand my quirks, has been a breath of fresh air. Realizing I'm not a lazy, flaky, chaotic person, but that my brain works differently than someone who is considered "normal" so I process or handle things a bit differently. @studiokatiesue was one of the first Instagram pages I started following when I was diagnosed, and her content is sooooo relatable and funny and puts me at ease in a way knowing I'm not alone dealing with the way I am. I'm all about mental health awareness and talking about topics that were once taboo in society, and her openness and quirkiness with doing so is amazing. And then I started following her ADHD dedicated Instagram, @katie.ADHD, and when she posted that she started this podcast I couldnโ€™t wait to give it a listen. So far itโ€™s been an amazing listen, and I constantly find myself connecting with what is being discussed and just feeling so seen and understood with it all. So if youโ€™re anyone who has struggled with ADHD, received a late diagnosis in your adult years, or even if you suspect you have ADHD and are on the fence with getting an official diagnosis, this podcast is for you.Read full review »
