I was excited to listen to this after hearing an interview with Lance Bass and having him suggest listening to it through headphones in bed or somewhere you could just lie down and immerse yourself…. And I totally agree - but the the commercials ruined it. Nothing like getting jerked out of a...Read full review »

This is the most awe inspiring story I have ever listened to. Ever! So engaging. Bravo! It took someone with limited knowledge about Space & Cosmonauts, and filled them with wonder & pride in the Soviet’s accomplishments, their hero’s, and Sergei. Praying for season 2…. Praying...Read full review »

The show it’s self is great but the ads are so obnoxious it’s almost unbearable. I’ll be avoiding iHeart podcasts from now on.

Great to listen to. Great storytelling. Lance really showed his vulnerability and it’s good to hear from him. Also good job production team for creating a great storytelling.

Not saying much but then again I think bands should play instruments and such.

1 star lost referring to Colac as being in Western Australia. You got it right in Ep 4, Colac is in Victoria Australia, just outside Melbourne. Getting very easy to verify details like this wrong makes me wonder how accurate the rest of the podcast is…. Otherwise, great podcast, really enjoyed👍

Full disclosure, I am a former space camp attending NSYNC fan, but that truly doesn't matter. This podcast is compelling in ways I had no expectations it would be. I've been telling everyone to listen since I finished. Wow! It is so interesting and layered and touches on not only the...Read full review »

Loved this series! Excellently put together and each episode is thoughtfully put together. My only gripe is the disgusting amount of adverts that are put in the episode. Literally a third of the podcast is adverts. Jesus wept.

I love this story about Sergei Krikalev but the second season was just….no thank you the second season kinda just ruined it. Other wise great podcast👏

This is no longer the show I subscribed to. To the hijackers, if you can’t get people to listen to your show by choice then you shouldn’t have a show. Sorry to the original author, you did a great job 5 stars. Sorry you lost your channel

Loved the first season. Can’t be bothered with second. Mostly, because of narration.

I don’t know what it is about iHeart podcasts. They are always so slow. It seems like they are trying to build tension where it doesn’t really belong. It’s an interesting story, but could have been shorter.

This is an amazing bunch of adverts, with a story woven around them.

Excellent hosting - smooth voice, wonderful cadence, enjoyable anecdotes, loved Lance Bass. But I especially enjoyed the way several stories were woven through, I was just a child when a fair amount of these stories occurred, and I appreciated learning so much history. Would love a second season 🤞🏼

Lance does a great job crafting an interesting story. Doesn’t drag it out with unimportant details, and doesn’t make it about him. Very professional! I ending was a little anticlimactic.

I love documentaries, but this one outbid the previous ones. Lance made story interesting, intriguing, captivating, throwing me back to the era of Soviet Union, its collapse, and the life after. The only thing that is better is if Sergei had been on it. It is very relevant and well done. It tells the story of the space race from the Soviet Union’s perspective. I wish there were more episodes!

Pleasantly surprised that this podcast isn’t dumbed down for US consumption of history. The reporting and sourcing is great, and the Russian-language skills of the producers, host and researchers really help unearth this remarkable window on history. I really am enjoying this podcast but I noticed there was a frequent reference to “they” when talking about the Soviet space station. That would indicate more than one person up there.
