Irritated by the haters
Look, I get it, we all have preferences in our listening choices. If you don’t like someone’s voice, then just move on. There’s no reason to leave a bad review about that. What do you think she can do about that? As a podcast host myself, I hear all the different avenues and all the different aspects of the stories that Jaime is covering. There are reviews in this list talking about how it took no research to do these stories. That is absolute bollocks. There’s not only research about the case itself, there’s research about the geographical location, there is research about the regional customs, there is research about things you can do and things you should not do when you’re in this location. That is a huge number of things that she is trying to in order to make you understand the context of what happened to the person she’s talking about. So if y’all would just get over yourselves, this is really well done, and if I ever travel to any of those locations, I will certainly be re-listening to that relevant episode. I can agree that a little better acoustics treatment in the room where you record would be helpful, but it’s not so bad as to be distracting or deserve a one star review. Jaime, ignore the ignorant haters, keep doing what you’re doing. I never miss an episode.

Woah, what a podcast! HISTORICAL: I thought Jaime’s show had a great opening with local history...Read full review »

The concept of this pod is actually great. But I feel like I’m listening to a High School science presentation. The rambling and robotic reading of mostly irrelevant information and personal anecdotes is just too difficult to move past. This show will become listenable once the host gets an idea...Read full review »
