The Last Word
I may miss shows I frequently watch on MSNBC. I make certain to watch Lawrence O'Donnell, host of The Last Word” if it means staying up for the rerun. It’s difficult to pick my favorite. They are all good, a few are excellent and one I can live without and manage to avoid. Luckily, I can catch his show because it is repeated (on my cable anyway). Everyone does not have Direct TV. Ari Melber runs a close second. Unfortunately, I often miss “The Beat due to the time slot (6:00pm EST) For some unknown reason “The Beat”is not repeated! “That being said” Lawrence reminds me of Walter Cronkite with a bit of Eric Severid (sp.)? thrown in. He’s a genuine newscaster; and intelligent journalist, who recognizes Trump for who and what he is; wasting no time by asking questions such as “Why would Trump do ‘this or that” as others do. It’s obvious The person who occupies the White House is emotionally unbalanced, needs a mental health evaluation, and a diagnosis followed by heavy duty (inpatient?)treatment. Paranoid Personality Disorder is easily diagnosed and virtually impossible to successfully treat. Lawrence does not express dismay that Trump is dumb as a box of rocks. He merely reports the facts which speak for themselves. In other words, Lawrence makes his point and leaves the rest for the viewers to assimilate. He does not interrupt his guest; nor does he need to get in “the last word”. He is a fearless, eloquent, dignified and appropriate gentleman.Read full review »
