Good story but narcassistic narrator
“We were at the same point in our life living in Morroco trying to find ourselves. I began to wonder how one Latif moved from Morocco to Sudan to join a terrorist group while I went from Morocco to America to study American politics blah blah blah.” Well, probably because you are a wealthy American with enough money to travel to Morroco to “find yourself”, while the other Latif didn’t have enough money to move to America to study. What’s there to wonder?

Listened to all the episodes in 2 days. Hope there will be an update and a change of fate for the ‘other Latif’. Besides learning his story you will also discover many things about the making and what is happening in Guantanamo. Worth your time.

Although the podcast was often hard to listen to due to the content in regard to how detainees were treated by our government at Guantanamo, the story was so well told and Latif did a great job of humanizing The Other Latif who spent too many years locked up!
