doesn't hold up
Disappointingly, the most excellent season 1 (but for excruciatingly badly written last 2 episodes!), neither plot, nor its structure, holds up as you progress. No sense of wonder anymore, aliens without any individual personality, clichee characters (failed totally on plausible English spoken by foreigners or e.g. "Irish" (yeah, an Irish genius mech-wizard...where did you steal that from, I wonder?!) or "US-American", not to mention far-Easteners, all done in a very trite manner), way too action-y for its own good, steampunky to a degree which makes you heave, there's immortals whose ethics & group behaviour didn't evolve above mafia or fundamentalist missionaries, too rushed by far, & the most irritating point is the fundamental mistake of explaining every last detail to the listener, thus cutting off all imagination & reducing listening to primary-school. Disengagend at season 2, episode 29. If you must, stay put with season 1. Additional star for the title theme.Read full review »

I first heard about The Leviathan Chronicles at comic con in New York City back in February. I'm completely hooked. The story line is fantastic and I wish my commute was longer so i could listen to more each day.Read full review »

Christof Laputka is truly a visionary and his ability to create an audio story of this caliber is truly amazing! I have really been enjoying The Leviathan Chronicles and look forward to more of Laputka's works in the future. Thanks Christof.Read full review »
