Finding its feet
The premise here is solid- creepy atmospheric storytelling set outside the safe-ish confines of a postapocalyptic (?) city. The short length isn't a handicap in and of itself, but the writers are still finding their balance on a lot of issues. Voice acting quality varies- when you're in a network that features Dungeons and Doritos, weak characters and weak voice acting show. There's also not any real sense of what's going on or of urgency. The group is in the fringe, they sometimes have to run away from something dangerous, but they also seem to be sort of meandering from place to place like the spot in an RPG where you have to figure out how to trigger the next plot point. I have high hopes based on concept and flashes of greatness, that this show will settle down and find its groove.Read full review »
