You have a better eye than you think you do.
I love art - drawing and painting - and I love to wander art museums. But I was never particularly interested in art history or art historians' ideas of the artists' intention. Just a few episodes of this podcast has changed my mind. It's less about assuming the artists' intentions and more about putting into words what draws you to (or pushes you away from) a piece. I don't doubt that my eye will develop as I make this podcast a habit, benefitting not just my art and appreciation of others' art, but finding subtle wonder in my own day to day world.Read full review »
