Savannah, Yoga-Nidra, Oxygen, Lost Debate Show
The savannah breeze, a yoga-nidra circuit, an Oxygen mask, and the Lost Debate Show. They all have something in common : a breath of fresh air! Listening to the Lost Debate show was a massage for my mind. And not like the generic ‘10 bucks for 10 minute’ massage chair deal. Oh no. Listening to LD is more like getting a Turkish massage — it is initially uncomfortable when you’re confronted with an array of differing opinions, but the nuance soothes you. I love listening to Ravi provide details of progressive policies instead of just the headline, the who and the what of the policy. Who will it impact? How will it impact them? These questions are otherwise ignored when media companies scramble for the catchiest headline. And then steps in Rikki, showing the old stalwart progressive that the new Gen-Z guard of libertarianism ain’t gonna back down so easy. She injects counterarguments that are not only valid on their own merit, but force the two other liberal hosts to better analyze their opinions. And if Rikki thought she was smart, we always have Cory switching to south paw with his witty humor. Hugggghhhh, fresh air. This show is a salad for your brain in a news ether which is otherwise dominated by Doritos and Coke; the Left and the Right. And I’m not saying this show purports itself as ‘neither left nor right’. This is not ‘straight facts’ or ‘facts don’t care about your feelings’. It is what free speech is at its best form — an avenue for smart people with differing opinions to share ideas. Thereyby producing an amalgam of even better ideas inlfuenced by one another’s. This show will not caress your ego. This show will not confirm your biases. This show will not DESTROY anyone. If that’s what you are looking for, Doritos and Coke are readily available on the internet. If you are willing to fire up your neurons and become the smartest bloke in your friend group, then perhaps this show is for you.

As advertised—nuanced, temperate tone for the most part, a fairly deep dive into major weekly events

Checked out based on Galloway recommendation. While it could have potential, it was evident half way through first listen that Rikki had to be young. No substantive life experience thus world views are shallow and not well-thought out. Kind of knee jerk in her arguments. I’ll pass on this one for...Read full review »
