Unvaccinated consequences thoughts ???
Hi, I am relatively new to your podcast and I’m so pleased that I have found it. I so appreciate calm and measured conversations presenting multiple sides. That being said I have a dilemma I would like you to consider addressing on your show. I, like many people, have struggled with what I can only say is anger and hurt at the realization that as a country we couldn’t come together to help one another. I am of course referring to vaccinations. I felt incredibly angry at the selfishness of the choices of my fellow citizens. I am aware that I need to move on from that and we as a country need to move on. So I have come to accept the “don’t tell me what to do with my body” philosophy. However, as with all freedoms come consequences and I have struggled with wanting to make consequences for the unvaccinated without being punitive. My initial reaction was fine don’t get vaccinated but don’t go to the hospital and the hospital should not treat you. I realize that is not a civilized and kind approach. It has also been pointed out to me that we don’t put those consequences on other unhealthy life choices. For example obesity, diabetes and other personal choice that generated illnesses. Of course that argument does fall apart because obesity and diabetes are not overwhelming our medical facilities. Overwhelmed hospitals appear to be the last challenge that the unvaccinated create. Therefore my latest thought, trying to be both compassionate and also meter out consequence, is to designate hospitals for the unvaccinated. Thereby not overwhelming all hospitals. You would be required to find a hospital that excepts unvaccinated Covid patients. Those hospitals would not be in every community, you might be required to travel to find an available hospital. But that could be a way to alleviate the stress on the medical system. I can hear the argument of fair accessibility and instantly think of the consequences of the recent anti-abortion laws. Recent rulings have required pregnant people to travel incredibly long distances to receive medical services. It has been determined by the Supreme Court that travel is not an ‘undo burden’. This seems to be an equivalent that could not be struck down in the courts. I am curious about your thoughts overall about unvaccinated and personal consequences. I am particularly interested in the views of the libertarian. Thank you and I hope you consider discussing this topic.

Can we please get her to stop finishing every statement sounding like a question??????? Sounds like a 80’s Valley Girl. And why does she constantly use the “libertarian” reference. Other than that, the show Is quite good.

Please stop with the run on sentences. So much work trying to follow what they are actually trying to say.
