A Review of Episode 94 and 111
In Episode 94, I appreciated how the hosts were honest about their experiences. I think it is wise to be cautious about expectations when experimenting with a method that someone else uses to take care of one’s self. Just because the early wake up method wasn’t helpful for the hosts however, doesn’t mean it won’t be helpful for others. As a guiding voice in personal enhancement, it is responsible to encourage listeners to not only try something that didn’t work for the hosts, but perhaps to give new practices time to create change in the listeners’ lives. Trying to thread a needle for the very first time might not be a successful endeavor for several tries but it doesn’t mean that sewing is something that should never be attempted based off of a few fails. I was really hoping for the hosts to open up that part of the conversation but it seems that the podcast for this episode only focuses on the experiences of the hosts. They did open up the dialogue to their listeners to share how the experience with waking up early works for them on their social sites so that is hopeful. Something in episode 111. Give Yourself Permission to Celebrate recently came up in therapy for me in regards to celebrating and it’s such a useful message. Celebrations are often things that are an external experience initiated by and involving others but having a moment of personal recognition to celebrate something in life can be very uplifting, freeing, and liberating 🙏🏾. If this one show is any indication of the nature of this podcast perhaps the other episodes have similar helpful perspectives.
