“I subscribe to quite a few podcasts and will listen to them hit or miss, but Sam Seder's Majority Report is the one I NEVER miss. He's very smart, funny and really cute (if that interests you at all...doesn't hurt anyway). There are loads of fascinating and informative interviews, a lot of humour, and Sam breaks down complicated stories in a way that is engaging and makes things easier to follow. If you are a regular listener, you will know more about what is going on politically than just about everyone you know. Sam knows EVERYBODY, so you may hear Janeane Garofalo (a HI-larious, regular visitor), David Cross, Sarah Silverman, Doug Benson, Michael Ian Black...and those are just a few comedian friends that have stopped by. So many terrific bloggers, activists and ...well, just look at the archives! Sam values his listeners and communicates with them in the second part of the show, "the better half", through IM's and phone calls. There is also the "Sammy Cam", whereby you can watch Sam via webcam during the show. Evan and Matt help run things and engage with Sam and the listeners when appropriate, which adds a lot of fun and laughter. Casual Fridays are a blast and a highlight of the week for me is Cliff Schecter who is just the most interesting, perceptive guy and has a great rapport with Sammy. I'm a huge fan, and I support with my dollars. Not only monthly, but occasionally when I can, I even add an extra "tip" here and there because I appreciate what this show brings to my understanding of the world (with some funny), and I value it highly.
