Sam does an incredible job of sharing the fascinating history of seafaring, from so many angles. Reenacting the titanic inquiry, looking at cave, art in Australia, even filming the models that were made of the great ships of the past. He does a great job of sharing all things nautical.

I’m hooked. I really enjoy the random topics of battles, wrecks, and engineering, and very impressed with the great depth of research. I am not by any means a serious maritime fan or historian, but I have found myself eagerly awaiting each new episode.

This is an excellent podcast, which both entertains and informs. It covers all aspects of maritime history, I’ve learnt a lot. What more could you possibly ask for? I just wish the ad breaks weren’t sometimes dropped in not just mid-sentence but mid-word, it’s really off putting. All together a...Read full review »

Found this podcast after a random search for the Graf Spee. Nicely put together with background history, witness statements and/or interviews, and academic enough to educational without sacrificing entertainment.

I found this podcast by seeing an Instantgram post on a propeller. I am so happy I did, so much history I had no knowledge of. Thank you and keep sailing

Very well done podcast. Outstanding production value, especially the voice actors who read the first hand accounts for us. This is exactly the naval/maritime history podcast I was looking for. The only suggestion I would add is about the advert slots, instead of just going straight to an ad in...Read full review »

For anyone with an interest in maritime history, these are for you. At less than an hour these are short compared to some history podcasts out there, but are concise, and are presented in a relaxed and good humoured fashion. Certainly one for the commute or morning stroll in the park.
