The Gills battled Salford, and the inclement weather conditions, to claim a well-deserved 2-0 away win at the Peninsula Stadium as Stephen Clemence’s men bounced straight back into the League 2 playoff places. Goals from Shad Ogie – his first for the Gills – and Tim Dieng secured the three points on the road in a game played on a shocker of a pitch as the weather went from drizzle to rain to a full-on hailstorm.
