Description
It had to happen sometime, and after a drab awayday performance at the Eco-Power Stadium, Gillingham’s unbeaten start to the 2024/25 League Two season came to a close with a 1-0 defeat to Doncaster Rovers. In a game that saw Gillingham outplayed for long spells, it was only one goal that decided the game, with Billy Sharp’s smart turn and volley proving enough to defeat a Gills side that looked disjointed and lacking in creativity on a bad day at the office for Mark Bonner’s side. Owen Stanley takes the helm to recap the day’s events, as the fans hopped onto Twitter Spaces to share their views on the day’s action, as viewed either from the stands, or from home on Sky Sports+.
