Almost always great but not never
I love this podcast and the interviews are almost always incisive. A shame Mark Thompson’s was so soft. As DG he defended massive pay differentials, did nothing for gender imbalance or diversity. Issues now boiling over. Very much Thompson is the old mates club and you could sense that in this interview. So an opportunity lost to put his feet to the fire.

I agree that Amol Rajan is a worthy successor to Steve Hewlet. Love his slightly cynical witty take on his own employer. Great range of guests and always up to date & relevant, as well as a good listen.
