DID Episode
I found the episode about dissociative disorders hugely disappointing, lacking nuance and research. I’m all about differential diagnosis, being careful and taking time to reach an accurate diagnosis. However the hosts of the podcast are clearly dismissive and didn’t dig into the evidence we do have of this disorder. So much of the information shared was based on opinions and not backed up by research or even clinical observation by clinicians who work with this disorder. There are experts in the trauma field who have great information to share about this topic, this on the other hand was dismissive of those who have suffered severe trauma and unhelpful for those trying to learn more. I would recommend skipping this episode.

This podcast is great. What a timely podcast about mental health. Thank you Dr Berney and Dr Marshall for all of your work in creating this podcast. And also thank you for the pervious Paedeia education podcast. PS: I use the Overcast podcast app to listen the show.
