Stop Leaving 'Clues' - Ask for WHAT YOU NEED with Eve Rodsky

Description
Have you ever taken a picture of toilet paper sitting on the stairs, sent it to your friends with the caption of "when is HE going to get a clue?"  Yeah, women take on a huge amount of invisible labor - from 1) concept: we only have 1 roll of TP left, mental note made, put it on the list to get at the store.  2) planning: look at schedule.  Wow, I have 60 minutes free between 1-2pm, kids are at camp, I don't have a meeting, guess that's a good time.   3) execution: go to the store driving 90 mph between meetings and pick up everything - make sure not to forget the blueberries.  Toilet paper is taking up a lot of mental space just being needed in our house - getting it to show up on the roll when we need it is just part of the puzzle.  All of that time and energy is then not spent on us day-dreaming or exploring what we could be doing that will light up our soul.   And now the more you think about the toilet paper, the closer you are ready to get divorced...when it's really not about toilet paper, summer camps or the never ending list of things that need to get done in the home.  It's really that YOU WANT MORE TIME to explore what lit you up pre-kids.  Instead of hoping for your relationship to change by leaving passive-aggressive clues OR putting off what lights you up, get in the driver seat and start to change it.  The way to do it is to start asking for what you need.   Now think even bigger... Do we want our patriarchal system to change?  Hell YES!  In this conversation, New York Times Best Selling Author, Eve Rodsky shares about how the first place to set this into motion is in the home.    Check out everything Eve is up to here.  Buy her book .  Follow her
