“For as long as I can remember my dad always picked me up from school with the radio tuned to Mike Francesca's WFAN afternoon sports talk show. I grew up listening to him and his angry callers and the arguments that would spark between me and my dad about sports were some of my favorite memories.
I grew up a Yankees fan and I grew up watching Michael Kay on YES doing Yankees broadcasts. I've always loved sports and always loved Kay's broadcast. Finally I decided that I myself would pursue a career in Sports Production on TV. Kay and his broadcast were a huge inspiration in my career goals. I am now a production assistant at ESPN in Bristol, CT. My goal is to ultimately work for Kay on his radio show. When I found out Michael Kay had a radio show, I immediately fell in love. The show has surpassed all other talk shows in New York. Boomer and Carton, Mike Francesca, Mike and Mike, Joe and Evan and all other sports radio shows do not compare. Your show goes where no other show dares to go. The show has evolved and grown with amazing guests and incredible analysis using social media as a great tool. The Michael Kay Show is connected more than any other radio talk show in the country. You listen to the Audience and address the most critical news in sports and life in New York and the world. I cannot put into words how tremendous this broadcast is and the dynamic between Michael, Don and Peter is absolutely tremendous. Keep up the great work and doing what you guys are doing. “It's great to hear directly from the players and coaches of the NY teams, and the guest analysts are usually great.
Michael Kay does a good job on YES, but he is obnoxious on this show. He goes soft during interviews and then trashes guests once they leave the line. He yells way to much...”Read full review »
