Good concept, poor execution
Edit: Tried it again. This podcast is just poor. While the topics are intriguing, the execution is just unbelievably boring. That’s the ‘Astonishing’ part about this podcast...how poor of an effort this is. There’s podcasts out there that do what ‘this’ is better. Go listen to them. Save yourself the time here. When I heard about this forthcoming podcast, I was really excited. The concept sounded great and coming from the crew from Astonishing Legends, how could it be bad? Well I was wrong and it is bad. Narration that’s intended to be creepy sounds to me like a voice you’d hear letting you know what floor your elevator has arrived at. The information isn’t that fascinating either. I feel like I’m having the general overview from Wikipedia read to me. Since the episodes are so short, I’ll probably give a few more episodes a chance, but I foresee myself unsubscribing from this relatively soon. This was a big swing and a miss. Really disappointed.

If you are looking for a highly entertaining podcast, this would be the one you’re looking for! Secret witches, spells, bones, gargoyles and hungry plants. All told by Miranda Merrick, the librarian. If her boo cal cadence doesn’t draw you in, the stories surely will.
