Love the show :)
Hey guys, I love your podcasts and the concept behind it. I see myself as a minimalist as well. I recently listened to your education episode which I found really interesting. However I am a bit confused on your concept of a career. You both seem to be very against the idea of having a career, and instead, having a job. I am currently studying Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine because my goal is having a career in alternative and holistic health. A career is "an occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person's life and with opportunities for progress.” My passion is health and wellness so yes, I plan on undertaking this endeavor for the rest of my life, since I truly believe it is the most important thing in life. And yes, i hope that this career I am in the midst of pursuing has the opportunity for personal progress. I am making my passion of TCM my career and hope to do it for the rest of my life. I honestly don’t understand how a career can be “dangerous” as you say it is. Do you mean a career that is artificial in its passion and simply promotes attachment to financial gains and the accumulation of material objects? If so you should be more clear. How is it dangerous to a minimalist lifestyle to have a career that is meaningful and full of passion?Read full review »
