“I currently own multifamily and love listening to podcasts about REI. That's how I found this one. Kevin hosts another podcast called Real Estate Investing for Cash Flow. If you don't listen to it, you should.
Even if you don't invest in mobile home parks, you can get an absolute wealth of information from listening to this podcast about how to invest in real estate assets. The subjects they talk about will easily translate into other types of investing.
One example is using test ads. Before they buy a park, they will sometime run test ads on Criagslist. This is to test the market and to see how much people are willing to pay for a nice place to live. Could you do this with a rental house? An apartment complex? How about to test whether your asking price on a potential flip will meet your expectations? Maybe for the storage locker complex you’re thinking of buying? You can absolutely do this with just about anything you’re about to invest in.
Another example? Researching the market your considering. I don’t care if it’s a mobile home park or an ice cream shop, you need to know that the market you are about to enter is solid and/or in the path of progress. And the tips they give help you determine just that.
