'Now get out of my house!'
Written by Peter Davies and Matthew Woodcock 'The Monster Hunters' is a comedy adventure series that, very rarely for this genre, gets it completely right. It is both very , very funny and invested with enough dramatic integrity to make you care about the characters, their world, and what happens to them. It's set in the world of cult tv and films of the 60's and 70's. Think the Hammer films, Doctor Who, the New Avengers, and more. Roy Steel is the man's man, thinking with his fists and felling foes human and inhuman with a 'hi-yah' and a Dad joke. He is also cross-addicted to whisky, women and tinned soup. Lorrimer Chesterfiled is the architypical straight man, a university professor who has secialised in supernatural forces and monsters. Together they are...the Monster Hunters! So much os gold here, to the wonderful introdcutory theme in itself a wonderful take off of 'Sapphire and Steel' (dropped in later seasons, please bring it back!), to its show regulars and supporting characters, to Mawell House, the boss, Suki the silent love interest, recurring foes like Count Orlof, story arc conspiracies, and more. It has repeatable catchphrases ('Now get out of my house!') and reoeatable gags a plenty. Deserving of a wider audience. More! Please!Read full review »

If you are a fan of Mars Corp and the Bunker this is definitely for you! Hilarious, weird and bizarre all rolled into one. Acting and production is spot on. One of my go-to comedy fiction podcast worth binging on the long drive.

Love the writing and the humor, the acting is all top notch and a ton of fun. I love this show and always look forward to seeing it in my podcatcher. Awesome if you love the old Hammer horror films.
