This is an example of worthless hype—the CDC guidance allows for the use of surgical coverings to allow for the continued care of patients. They don’t suggest that it’s the preferred option, so maybe instead of whining about it, figure out how to build or source supplies. Stop blaming. If the CDC hadn’t modified the requirements, the same reporter would have interviewed the same people to whine about patients dying and not being able to care for them. And no one said that you can’t fold a t-shirt and make your own mask. Stop being gross.”
