I took some time to regain my strength and composure and to try and collect my feelings to be able to record this episode. A few weeks ago there is a social media uproar about marital rape (this is something we’ve discussed in the past on our Instagram, and it upset a lot of people). Of course, I couldn’t let this whole thing go and ended up on social media for an entire week sharing, talking and then finally going live and crying during the live stream (totally unplanned, go watch it on IG). I think I cried because of how devastated and heartbroken I am of how horrible life is for women and girls in Egypt. The oppression, the sexual violence. It’s too much. In this episode I try to integrate some very BASIC scientific information that will (hopefully) benefit our male listeners who are in need of some sex ed. I invite and urge you all to listen and share this episode. We must put an end to marital rape. We must protect all women and girls.
