“Firstly, i’ve been following your page for a while now and im so glad there is now a longer discussion to be had where we can learn about health education.
I don’t think this pertains to knowledge on sex education as much as the way society affects how we perceive it.
I think about this all the time how for my entire life as a woman in egypt i’ve been taught that i should be ashamed of exposing my body, i should be quiet and shy having no desires whatsoever and that if i do show interest in sex or any form of desire im considered not of good manners (not suitable)
But once i get married it is now just automatically okay (even encouraged) to do & talk about and im supposed to be comfortable, willing, excited and adventurous as if a switch has been pulled after decades of being told no! I don’t know how women do it, im sure they struggle, or maybe its just me.”
