Mediocre doco
What could have been a fascinating report into the deaths of three people who unknowingly ate death cap mushrooms in a meal prepared by a supposedly loving relative, is narrated by a young female with vocal burn & poor diction but worse, she inserts herself regularly into the story. Brooke double barrelled last name, is neither well-known nor an experienced radio journalist going by the editing & structure of this doco. This means there’s no increase in tension from episode one to four because she or the producers allowed mundane or trivial comments to interrupt the real story. There doesn’t seem to have been much thought given to the script or how to build suspense & interest. It’s amateurish & sadly, dull.

Too much vocal fry at the end of every sentence of the presenter. Its irritating. Shame because it’s a compelling story
