Stumbled into this show when I was looking for episodes of The Shadow. I’ve enjoyed listening to the different episodes and expanding my interest in radio shows. The banter between the three hosts is great and they have a wide breadth of knowledge

I really do enjoy the selection of genres and shows from Westerns to Sci-Fi but once the hosts return to the microphone I usually turn it off. While most episodes that they like receive much praise, the ones they don’t receive a lot of flak which is usually poorly explained, such as my favorite...Read full review »

I love this podcast so much. If you like old radio shows, this is a great way to listen to episodes and have a fun critique of them. Initially I admit I had a little trouble distinguishing amongst the three hosts, but once I got used to them, I really started enjoying it even more. Eric, Tim, and...Read full review »

Not only is this a great way to listen to old radio dramas, but the context and discussion of the hosts is entertaining and endearing. The old shows they listen to are enhanced by the insights and thoughts of the conversation around it. I find myself laughing heartily when they discuss, even the...Read full review »

A guided tour of Old Time Radio! Are you kidding me? This is the best idea ever for a podcast.. It’s a sound education for radio lovers as these three witty and entertaining OTR devotees introduce a smorgasbord of classic mystery shows and then offer up a book club type discussion of the fare as...Read full review »

I love this podcast and I hope it keeps going on forever. Only thing I can suggest is for you to add your own productions as episodes, I think you have the experience to really make some classics that stand the test of time ;)

All in one place! These guys are great! They choose old time radio show episodes and talk for 15-20mins after the episode. Does that episode still stand the test of time? No personal jibber jabber just the guys talking about the radio show giving it context to the era it was made in. Keeping...Read full review »

After listening again to their episode featuring Quiet Please: The Mummy, I realized that Eric Tim and Joshua are very Illuminati boys.

If you want to get introduced to all of the great and some of the not so great audio drama that preceded the age of podcasts then why not do it with three knowledgeable and funny friends with a passion for the stuff?

I’ve been listening to old time radio for decades and yet Eric, Tim, and Joshua manage to find shows and episodes of familiar shows I’ve never heard. That’s just one of the reasons the MORLS is amazing. Another is the rapport between the three hosts, each of whom has a very distinct personality...Read full review »

Although I started listening on a whim, The Mysterious Old Radio Listening Society is now my favorite podcast, hands down. Unlike some old-time radio podcasts that just play an old show, this one has knowledgeable hosts who have a real love of these old shows. They do a short introduction, then play the show without interruption, then have a reasoned and thoughtful discussion afterwards. I may not always agree with...Read full review »

I don't know why it has taken me so long to discover this podcast, but I'm glad I finally did. So I just listened to Dracula in White, and yes indeed you can distress things with a wire brush but it looks like it’s been distressed with a wire brush. This podcast helped me find this genre. I didn’t know I’d love it. Since then, I’ve found better sources. Bummer but true. Rarely return here. And I hate swap cast or non-original program podcasts. Don’t sell me out to your friends.

You guys should be hanging out behind a bar discussing fantasy sports, not old time OTR fantasy. What the hell? You have not historical context, or insight into how the whole medium worked at that time. Jesus, you are untalented jerks. f you!
