New take on old genres
One thing I appreciate about New Century is that every new section to the story is practically a different genre all together. The Cartographers is World War Z meets a civil war piece with slavish attention to historical accuracy. Tigers Eye is the Chanur series crossed with the Jungle Book, and yet I know that the two sections are connected thematically and literally. Alex also puts an insane amount of work into creating the soundscape for a given episode. His other work displays his love and attention to music and audio cues, but this truly shows his perfection of that craft. I look forward to the next installments and hope the future is bright for New Century.

While most of...Read full review »
