Great, but one problem.
The NYC Crime Report is a very funny show, as I am a fan of both true crime and gallows humor. It's an interesting window into reporting, as well. It would be one of my favorite podcasts. But Dixon has repeatedly called transgender prostitutes "it". Even when they are noted as the murder victims in crimes. There are seedy transgender people out there, sure. But the unwritten rule is to call them what they identify as. Even if someone is only a transvestite, you cannot be sure unless you ask them, and it's safer to go with "she". If you really don't know, the respectful way to address them is the singular "they". Calling any human being "it", for the excuse that you don't know what is between their legs, is deplorable. I never get up in arms about this sort of thing, but it made me truly uncomfortable to know that this even slid by police officers, and was even reassured by police officers, on more than one occasion. Dark and non-PC humor is my favorite kind, and the rest of the show skirts the line very effectively, but I've tried to ignore these "it" incidents and I cannot. It's a fantastic show otherwise, but I don't feel like listening to it anymore, because it turns my stomach over as a transgender citizen.Read full review »

Del invitado y amigo del show Keith and The Girl, cuyo album esta en el Top 5/10 del mismo co-host Keith Malley :-) Con eso es suficiente para saber que no se decepcionaran de cada programa ;-)

Love to listen to the podcast. I imagine it would be even better while "smoking pot and eating waffles." But only after I kill Grandma. Of course. Thanks for the entertainment guys!Read full review »
